    Position Summary

    BCIT’s Biomedical Engineering Technology department in the School of Health Sciences is seeking a temporary, part-time (0.5 FTE) Assistant Instructor to teach in laboratory settings as well as assist and support other faculty members in laboratory related education activities.

    Duties & Responsibilities
    Assigned duties will include instruct and support students in the laboratories and maintain the biomedical engineering laboratory facilities, equipment and supplies.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    A thorough understanding of a broad range of medical devices including imaging technology is essential.
    Experience in field of electronics essential.
    Experience in serving medical device is essential.
    Diploma or degree in Biomedical Engineering with relevant experience essential.
    Demonstrable instructional skills; teaching experience an asset.
    Microcontroller, computer programming and network experience an asset.
    Medical device development and manufacturing experience an asset.
