Job Description

• Invoice Simple is seeking a Product Analyst who will work with product managers, company leadership and cross-functionally to ensure that we have the right data and proactive insights to deliver high quality, engaging, and intuitive products and services that drive results.You:

  Are you interested in driving business and product strategy? What about using data to answer difficult questions and come up with powerful insights? As a Product Analyst at Invoice Simple , you will be creating and maintaining dashboards to inform our product and executive team, using SQL + Periscope + BigQuery. Y ou will use your quantitative skills, obsession and empathy towards customers and collaborative spirit to work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance and Customer Success to provide data-driven insights to find new opportunities to take our products to the next level. You will be responsible for helping the Product teams build evidence-based roadmaps, providing a consistent and proactive flow of data-driven insights to fuel ideation and learning and to help the team solve user problems and achieve targeted KPIs. This role has high exposure within the company as you will often be working with senior leadership.

  Where:
  The Invoice Simple head office is in Gastown Vancouver. While most of the Invoice Simple team is located in Vancouver, this role can be fully remote in Canada or a similar time zone (with occasional trips to Vancouver, when it’s safe to do so).

   

  Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Product Teams to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain SaaS & payment product metrics and dashboards in Periscope for the product teams, in addition to ad hoc analysis from other teams to help drive strategic business decisions.
  • Own our own product analytics stack including Woopra, and guide future vendor choice.
  • Build and maintain core company deshboards.
  • Lead weekly metrics reviews for key stakeholders.
  • Build robust automated reporting and processes to minimize repetitive work.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer journey phases and key business metrics
  • Inform future product features and design by performing proactive exploratory analysis to understand user engagement behaviour and derive insights
  • Help with strategic product planning
  • Translate complex concepts into implications for the business via excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

   

  Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of business intelligence/analytics/data science experience
  • Ability and experience in extracting insights from data, and summarizing learnings / takeaways
  • Proven track record of being able to work independently and proactively engage with business partners with minimal direction
  • Experience with front-end web analytical tools
  • Experience with data visualization tools
  • Experience querying relational databases directly
  • Familiarity with basic statistical concepts
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience with BigQuery, Periscope, Looker, Metabase, or Woopra.
  • Experience with Amplitude or Woopra.
  • Detail-oriented while considering the big picture.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Nice to have: Bachelors’ or above in quantitative field: Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
